The grant rate was originally set at 5 000 for all eligible ultra low emission cars. The electric vehicle homecharge scheme evhs provides grant funding of up to 75 towards the cost of installing electric vehicle chargepoints at domestic properties across the uk. Evs include battery electric vehicles bevs or plugin hybrid electric vehicles phevs. Only vehicles which are now or were previously eligible for grant support under the ev grant scheme are eligible.

Only vehicles registered new or bought second hand from 2018 onwards are eligible for a home charger grant. The olev grant specifically named the electric vehicle homecharge scheme evhs provides up to 350 off the cost of purchasing installing a home charging point from 1st april 2020.

You can claim one charging per eligible vehicle and up to two charging points per household.
