I need a driver.

After searching on hp s site and google at large i finally found the usb console driver i was looking for.

There is also the option of using a usb cable not supplied to connect the switch s micro usb console port to a pc.
I jump into putty and connect and just like magic i m consoled into the switch.
By default the switch is configured to acquire an ip address via dhcp.
I installed it and sure enough i see the hpn serial port show up as com4.

User cannot use both the rj 45 console port and usb console port at the same time.
Additionally if your machine is online at the time you should be able to get windows to download the driver through windows update when you connect to a switch for the first time.

I would suggest you get the above download as it also has the registry change required to stop the drive creating a new serial port for every switch you connect.
